Buried deep in the heart of Western Australia’s most isolated wine region, Frankland Estate is as much apart of its natural landscape as it is a winery.
Located 250km east of Margaret River and inland from the wild and picturesque Great Southern coastline, we take our role as custodians of our land very seriously. We have invested a lot of time and energy into minimising our impact on the ecological balance of the region, nuturing the micro-biology of our soils and supporting causes to improve the health and future prosperity of our local fauna and flora.
Marron Creek make wines from the very southern tip of the Frankland River Region in Western Australia. This certified organic vineyard is nestled amongst the famed Karri trees of the region, where we grow and hand craft out wines in the pursuit of exemplary quality.
The quality of fruit produced from the Swinney vineyards has attracted significant demand from premium wine producers, but it was not until 2012 that a very small quantity of the first Swinney wines were released. The Swinney range consists of Riesling, Syrah, Grenache and a Syrah Mourvedre Grenache blend. The fruit from these wines is selectively sourced from particular blocks in the Vineyards to produce wines of impressive purity, concentration, elegance, texture and distinctive terroir. From their 2018 vintage they have released two new special selection wines, a Syrah and Grenache, under the brand name Farvie. These are all exciting wines, the Farvie super-premiums especially so.
