Palate exhibits very attractive sappy tobacco leaf - a real highlight. Very cultured. Lovely balance, intriguing, mouth filling, it has a very long finish. Dark red purple. Very fine suave tannins. There is the whiff of mint on the nose, the cassis on the palate, the eucalypt-mintiness in the mouth. Creamy texture from the tannins, which are extremely fine and provide a lovely backbone. Still young, will age nicely.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Tasted on Mon, Aug 2, 2010.&lt;/p&gt;</summary>

    <summary type="html">&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;94 points&lt;/b&gt; - Light straw colour. Fresh minerality on the nose. Hints of melon. Amazing balance of minerals, zingy acid and lovey stonefruit. This is one of the best Australian Chardonnays I have had. Reminiscent of some of the white burgundies we had. I think this is better than the Scarborough Yellow Label Chardy. An absolute winner. Beautiful nose full of spice, green pepper, fragrant leather and black berries, faint earthiness and savoury bacon hints. Lovely sweet vanilla entry gives way to a fruit-driven palate - great smokey oak flavours followed by fine tannins. A really enjoyable flavour structure. A long and dry, smoked bacon, leather finish. This is a really a great wine only pulled down a couple of pegs by being a tad too alcoholic and too fruit forward.
