84 points - Still young fruit. Out of balance - too acidic. Leafy Minty notes. Notuch tannic backbone left. Drink now, since I don't think this is going anywhere in terms of development. Perhaps over the hill? In any case too sour.

Tasted on Sat, Feb 6, 2010.

80 points - Nose is quite savoury, like grilled meats with menthol lift and some fruit in the background. Attack is quite acidic. Out of balance. Palate is unharmonious with fruit sweetness and acidity quite on different levels, out of sync. Lingering acidity in the mouth with dusty wood tasting tannins. Faint raisined characters. After being for a couple of hours in the glass, it turns into a sour mess. Either there's something not quite right with this "gold-winning" bottle, or it's just so pass it's drink by date, or I don't know what.

Tasted on Sat, Feb 6, 2010.
