Still very young, can go a lot further. Velvety tannins. Earthy salty style. Quite concentrated. Improves significantly after 2hrs: thyme and delicate spices coming out. Iron/blood character on the finish. Dark plum and cherry bouquet. Liked it better and better as it opened up. Iron and gunpowder notes. Give it 3hrs in decanter.

Tasted on Sun, Aug 31, 2014.

Aromas were slightly tart, with black fruit and earthbound. Some sweet charry oak can be detected. Palate shows some evident acidity with a hint of iodine or ironstone. Intense though a touch spirity. Good line. Has improved markedly since the last tasting.

Tasted on Sun, Aug 31, 2014.

85 points - Slightly cloudy. Brambles nose. Creamy. A tad heaty, probably due to a bit too much alcohol. Dark fruits dominate, some bitterness. Will this wine develop further? I doubt it, I think this needs to be drunk up asap. The acidity of this wine sits a bit uncomfortably on the palate, disconnected from the rest. Did they add acid to this wine? In any case it is just not well integrated, making the whole proposition a little bit ackward. A bit ordinary, nothing exceptional there. Yet it is an agreeable quaffer.
I know this might contradict the tasting note of this wine I wrote a year ago, but it is what it is.

Tasted on Fri, Jun 25, 2010.

Perhaps even a bit of blackberry on the nose. On the palate we get creamy intensity, rich fruit from the dark side. Round and balanced. Fills every corner of the mouth and goes very long. A fabulous wine. Will age much longer.
