Palate shows cassis fruit but in an earthy, savoury style: the blended Merlot bringing leafy cedar tobacco, and the other bordeaux varieties adding to the complexity. <p><b>94 points</b> - Intense and fruit driven nose, complex with hints of oak, iodine and savoury, meaty characters. Full bodied palate, bold and muscular with a great fruit drive, touches of iodine and salinity. Drying, powdery, grippy tannins, this is a wine built for ageing. It has presence on the palate.
