<p><b>93 points</b> - Dark purple. Thick velvety structure. Blackberries and middle eastern spices with a savoury note. Often there is clove in these style of wines, but here we have a far more complex spice mix: cloves mix with heaty pepper and star anise, even with a twinkle of cardamon. This is quite entertaining. While there is thickness on the palate in spades, the acidity pulls it together. Ends on almost minty notes. Tar is noticeable.</p><p>Tasted on Fri, May 15, 2020.</p>
