Unctuous and piercingly concentrated on the palate, a very winemakerly style, very rich, powerful, rounded and seamless, yet clean with a razor sharp acid backbone. Almost difficult to swallow, with the incredible intensity. Lychee tones, gewürztraminer like notes. Reverberating with a gingery, floral finish. An over the top wine. Not quite my style but clearly very good.

Tasted on Thu, May 21, 2015.

Palate has quite a bit of bitterness, which is good as it provides structure and keeps the unctuous fruitiness in check. Lacks the elegance of top condrieu. But a very good wine. "Ponderous" as Huon said for the previous vintage hits the nail on the head. Not a wine I can drink a lot of. Came down from 91.

Tasted on Thu, May 21, 2015.
