93 points - Very primary, deep purple, smells of forest berries and cracked pepper. Very pretty floral nose, more on the palate , peppery red tangy fruits, not as deep as usual but very fresh & juicy with merest hints of French oak & needing some time to mesh - terroir speaking loud & clear from this very cool vineyard

92 points - Grapes from Toppers Mountain. Light crimson, turkish delight confection & sweet florals on the nose with tar & licorice on the palate, some strong tannins to close, needs time to unfurl.

95 points - Just had another bottle of the 2011 Shiraz Viognier....delicious, so floral with aromas of violets & cracked pepper. Vibrant & fresh rich red fruits/cherry & pepper on the palate, yet light & elegant with a long aftertaste and so food friendly to boot. What a shame we are nearly out, but we still have the 2010 and 2012 shiraz to look forward too!

91 points - Deep red, smells like tar and black cherrys with sour edge cherries & hints of baking spices on the palate with a real long tangy acid crunch on the finish. Varietally very correct & a food wine for sure

94 points - Deep purple, strong flavors of licorice,molasses, & black fruits, blackcurrant & dark spices like ground nutmeg & pepper, strong tannins & acid, needs time. very powerful primary fruits with subtle french oak in the background. estate grown grapes
