93 points - Reductive hints and sulphide, savoury potpourri aromas. Very intense savoury palate. Palate shows fine dense tannins, smooth and chocolate, earthy. Cassis, black fruit, quite vibrant still. Black peppercorn. Quite a lovely new world style, bold and to the point. By far the best bottle we've opened, and it's the last one. Maybe it shut down earlier and it's only coming into the peak now?

88 points - Needs a bit if time to air. Hints of coconut. High acidity bordering on hardness - corrected? Tastes as if it could age for a lot longer. It's just coming into its own. I eat my earlier comments on this wine regarding ageing potential! Tried bottles of this wine in previous years and it wasn't as interesting. Good fruit expression. Not overly complex, but pleasant.

86 points - Faint dungy nose with minty spicy cabernet aromas. Meaty umami notes on a palate that is slightly too wayward in its acidity. Tannins are a little light too, and the fruit juvenile tasting still. A bit short. Much better had with food. Usual cabernet flavours in the finish.

86 points - Nose has cassis. Palate is a bit hard from the acidity and corse tannins. Drink up, this wine isn't going anywhere. Not sure why Halliday rated this so highly? He surely overrated it. Still a decent quaffer. but in terms of cellaring a lemon - alas!
