Palate shows fine dense tannins, smooth and chocolate, earthy. Cassis, black fruit, quite vibrant still. Black peppercorn. Quite a lovely new world style, bold and to the point. By far the best bottle we've opened, and it's the last one. Maybe it shut down earlier and it's only coming into the peak now?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Tasted on Mon, Jul 21, 2014.&lt;/p&gt;</summary>

Tastes as if it could age for a lot longer. It's just coming into its own. I eat my earlier comments on this wine regarding ageing potential! Tried bottles of this wine in previous years and it wasn't as interesting. Good fruit expression. Not overly complex, but pleasant.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Tasted on Mon, Jul 21, 2014.&lt;/p&gt;</summary>

Tannins are a little light too, and the fruit juvenile tasting still. A bit short. Much better had with food. Not sure why Halliday rated this so highly? He surely overrated it.
