Palate is quite balanced and smooth on entry which quickly shows its very fine leafy earthy tannins. Notes of chocolate and earth, black pepper and spices. Good palate coverage. Finish is measured and sure, long and shows some restraint. Very nice and very drinkable. If anything it is a bit sweet

Tasted on Fri, Feb 19, 2010.

The wine has line and structure. A lot of tannic backbone, allowing this to go on for many years to come. Minty notes on the nose, underpinned by leaves.
