91 points - Dark purple red. Deep dense plummy aromas that compete with the usual biscuity oak. Opulent palate again, loads of amplitude and full bodied. Jubey bright fruit with a good amount of acidity to counterbalance. Again this weird sweetness really prevents this from greatness. Some smart peppery notes.

90 points - Deep dark purple red. Charry oak tinged nose again, sweet and biscuity, the merest hint of cassis. Voluptuous palate, big and rounded with loads of amplitude and yet with a strikingly high acidity and slightly chaffy grippy tannin structure. Sweet jubey fruit. Strikingly like a modern, Robert Parker style Bordeaux, perhaps more jubey and fruit driven. Not a bad wine.

88 points - Strong minty cassis. There is that American fruit sweetness, quite overbearing for me. If you can look beyond it (or like it) then you'll like this. Oak flavour. Not overly complex. Cloves, big. Too sweet. Rich and concentrated.

87 points - Smells of smoke. Very developed colour, with lots of sediment. Hmm, don't get this. Quite herbal aspect. Noticing primary fruit left, all oak and herbs. Thyme. Leafy. Quaffable. Drink now. Not much complexity here.

86 points - Deep purple red. Fruit seems to be receding on the nose, a lick of leaf. Opulent palate again, fine grained tannins integrating well but this is the most coca cola like of the three vintages so far. A little too sweet and inelegant. Tannin structure seems like it's falling apart a little.

86 points - Nose not as expressive as the 10 and 11. Raspberry palate. Fruit sweet. Oak still very intense: coconut. Needs loads of time. A tad out of balance, with a smidgen too much acid, but that will probably make it age quite well. Intense and concentrated.

83 points - Dark medium tawny colour. Nose is very developed, iodine, peaty. Full bodied still for this age, fruit has truly receded, this is mainly oak, medicinal characters, a little dried out in the finish. Still has the trademark sweetness, caramelly. Suggestion of sultanas and wooden boxes. A bit pointless to drink.
