Deep dark red, an explosion of taste and cake spice, balanced acids and tannins against a smooth sweetness. Very very impressive, a good wine for sharing with family on Waitangi Day!

Initially served too cold. Church Rd Reserve 06 Chardonnay. Toasty oak, nutty, peach and sweet grapefruit. Beautifully balanced, full wine. Elegant nose. Drinking well.

Drank 2010, smooth, creamy, buttery, still good acid, crisp, citrus Franklin Manor with scallops and duck

Juicy, stalky, hearty. A wonderful wine. Solid tannic backbone. Will develop well. Lovelly! On the vegetal front there is a hint of asparagus. Dark in colour.
Smooth - given time will be craker
Oaky french (?) cream on nose. Body more noticible from the mid pallate. Some nutty melon with the creamy oak. Smooth but oak not yet intergrated. Beautiful in a few years. very round. 92+
Bright garnet red. Lovely savoury nose with a slight floral kick which makes it interesting. Palate is broad ans spicy. Not a long flavoyr but that's ok given it's sweet fruit character.
