Capital Wines was established in 2008 and was purchased in early 2020 by Bill and Maria Mason and Colin and Kay Andrews. The cellar door is in the village of Hall in the ACT. The Capital Wines brand draws on the association with Canberra and life in the National Capital. The label designs are wry, irreverent and humorous takes on life in the National Capital. While we at Capital Wines don't take politics, and life in the National Capital too seriously, we do take and make our wines very seriously.
Eden Road is our Journey as a winemaking team to create a unique style of wines from our high country, cool climate vineyards of Australia. We are located in Murrumbateman and surrounded by Tumbarumba, the Hilltops and Gundagai.
These four regions represent a rich pioneering viticultural history and are now producing some of the most exciting contemporary wines in Australia. Our desire, capability and energy are channeled into every aspect of the winemaking process from the selection and management of vineyards through to the attention to detail we devote to winemaking: this is our Road to Eden.
Nestled at the foot of the Cullerin Range at Lake George, Lerida Estate is dedicated to making distinctive, world class, wines that represent the unique and beautiful site on which they are grown. Through the combination of cutting edge vineyard management, meticulous winemaking, a magnificent cool climate site and our spectacular Glenn Murcutt designed winery, Lerida Estate strives to provide a welcoming and memorable visitor experience to stand alongside our exceptional wines.

As a boutique winery, we pride ourselves on the quality and excellence of both our grape crop and the finished wine we produce. The fruit for our wines comes from our “Folly Run” vineyard near Bungendore, "Mallaluka" vineyard on Dog Trap Road near Yass and our new Brooks Creek Vineyard at Bywong.
Maipenrai a small vineyard and winery dedicated to making fine Pinot Noir without compromise. All Maipenrai wine is sourced from our close planted 1.1 hectare vineyard atop the Yass River Valley located in the Canberra District. Situated at an altitude of 760m above sea level, the vineyard's rocky soil and cold climate make our six clones of Pinot Noir struggle, but provide an intensity to our wines that can only be achieved in such harsh conditions.
We also produce wines under the Amungula Creek Label - these wines represent exceptional value for money, with fruit sourced from our own vineyard and from selected plots from within the Canberra District.
Mount Majura Vineyard is a small vineyard and winery close to Canberra, in the ACT.
Our vineyard on the eastern slopes of Mount Majura is characterised by red volcanic soils also containing limestone. It is a unique site producing single-vineyard wines of real character.
Quarry Hill is a boutique, family owned and run vineyard situated just outside Canberra and is part of the Canberra cool-climate wines district. In addition to supplying grapes to leading local Canberra District winemakers, we also release our own wines
Grown and produced from our vineyards in Murrumbateman NSW, a high country, cool climate wine growing region 30 minutes north of Canberra in the Yass valley where ancient granite soils, continental climate and semi-arid conditions are the perfect environment to grow high quality grapes. Owned and operated by Bryan and Jocelyn Martin and family.
Shaw Wines is a boutique winery established in 1998 on "Olleyville", a 700 acre fine wool producing property established in the mid 1800's. This historic property is located in Murrumbateman along the Barton Highway between Canberra and Yass. The Estate is truly a family affair headed by Graeme and Ann Shaw, who oversee the operation. Their two children, Tanya and Michael, are both fully employed in the family business as well as Tanya's husband Michael.
With around 85 acres of Riesling, Semillon, Merlot, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon under vines, the property supplies Shaw wines with its entire production and can lay claim to the fact that they produce 100% Estate grown wines.

We seek to produce wines that both display the style of the region and are delicate and complex. We work from the principal that all good wine starts in the vineyard and that good grapes requires care and dedication throughout the season. Founded by Bill Mason, Z4 Wines remains a privately-owned family company. Bill personally sources, tastes and selects all the Australian and International wines represented in the Portfolio. As a result Z4 Wines has gone from strength to strength in terms of the calibre of wineries, number of customers and in the geographical reach serviced by the business within the National Capital and Southern NSW.
The wineries in the Z4 Wines portfolio include the likes of The Islander Estate, Ben Potts, Gallagher, Gipsie Jack, Haan, Happs and Printhie, all producers of fine wines. Z4 Wines also produces its own Z4 premium wine range from the Canberra District and Zane Hills from Regional NSW.
