Our collection of wines have been created by interweaving and blending up to four different grape varieties: the Monastrell (Mourvèdre), the Cabernet Sauvignon, the Shiraz and the Garnacha. Each of these grape varieties are recognized independently in the great World of wine for the unique characters that they bring to a bottle of wine, be its purple, deep red or ruby colors, fruity characteristics, its savoury touch, its ability to age, etc.
Bodegas Castaño is today one of the most relevant wine producers in South-Eastern Spain for their tradition and achievements in the use of the indigenous grape varieties. With a clear innovating spirit, the Castaño family has incorporated avant-garde technologies and the latest vinification systems to keep alive the legacy of their ancestors, an inherited passion for the deeply rooted Monastrell, the king variety in Yecla.
