Mr. Riggs Wine Co. was founded in 2001 by winemaker Ben Riggs, whose winemaking philosophy is to make unpretentious wines that express the essence of the vineyard and the regions terroir, in a style that Ben enjoys drinking; big, rich and complex, but also with finesses, texture and elegance. Ben sources regional parcels of fruit from McLaren Vale, Clare Valley, Adelaide Hills and the Coonawarra.

Uleybury lies North – East of Adelaide, South Australia, within the Mount Lofty Ranges . It is a picturesque area and to add to it’s poetic beauty it also fast becoming a new wine growing area.
It was here where Tony Pipicella and family first planted vines in 1995. Then in July 2000 Uleybury Wines released their 1999 Hand Picked Basket Press Uley Chapel Shiraz, 1999 Hand Picked Basket Press Grenache Shiraz and 2000 Hand Picked Semillon.
