Ballabourneen Winery is located on Lovedale Road, Lovedale. It is owned by the Isakidis family who own Tatler Wines. Ballabourneen opertate and manage the facility under licence and make all our wines from the winery along with wines for clients of the owners. Ballabourneen Vineyards are located in two main areas in the Lower Hunter, Lovedale and Pokolbin. Varieties such as Semillon, Chardonnay and Verdelho are sourced from Lovedale, particularly the Majors Lane vineyard, a uniquely different vineyard due to the three very different soil types that are found. A small and unexpected patch of red volcanic soil to a large patch of light clay loam over yellow clay to a wonderful patch of sandy loam, where our award winning Semillons are sourced.
