[This winery may no longer be operating.] Named after the ancient fault line on which the Sutherlands Creek vineyard lies, Rowsley Fault sits on the western edge of the Port Phillip Basin where it meets the Moorabool Valley.
The rich volcanic loam soils rest on a layer of limestone. These conditions show particular promise for a range of European varietals that are emerging in the Rowsley Fault “exotic nursery'. With vineyards across Sutherlands Creek and Russells Bridge, the fruit from the vineyard produces both the Sutherlands Creek label as well as the iconic Rowsley Fault Wine.
