Description:

The name ‘Yan Yan Gurt’ is taken from a name of a nearby creek which runs alongside our block. Yan Yan Gurt vineyard is about a 40-minute drive from Geelong and flanks the Otway Ranges of South-West Victoria. The climate in Birregurra is very cool and very well suited to our principal varieties Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The vineyard is approximately 1.5 hectares or 3.7 acres in size, it also forms part of the historic Ingleby Estate. Yan Yan Gurt was established in 1996 and with vines now in their 22nd year, we believe our wines have a depth and complexity that reflect the soil, climate, and topography of Birregurra. Intervention is minimal and this approach helps us make wine of substance and character. Our vines are entirely hand-pruned, hand-picked and hand-tended. The wines presented here are 100% estate grown.
