[This winery may no longer be operating.] TerraVin is a boutique Marlborough winery with a dedicated focus on growing and making world class hillside Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc. Terra being Latin for Earth or land, our name reflects a deep emphasis on terroir. Often there is a ‘sweet spot’ on a hillside where all of the natural and climatic elements combine to deliver a personality that becomes the signature of the vineyard. This is the essence of some of the world’s finest wines. Finding these pockets of land in Marlborough and giving them expression in wine is what makes TerraVin tick. The TerraVin Founders were among the pioneers of hillside viticulture in Marlborough, identifying and planting several north-facing slopes that today produce grapes for some of New Zealand’s most highly rated Pinot Noir’s.
