Our current range of wines have been made under the careful tutelage of Chris Derrez and Lucy Maddox of Madrez Wines in Orange, New South Wales.
Chris who learnt his trade in the Burgundy region in France and Lucy, an oenologist trained at Roseworthy College, have been responsible for many award winning wines. They are now making wines that are of a classic traditional heritage but crafted in a crisp clean style to meet current trends and requirements from serious wine lovers.
Renzaglia Wines is a small family owned and operated vineyard and winery run by father and son Mark and Sam Renzaglia. Sustainability is at the core of the operation with a particular focus placed upon bio-diversity and soil health within the vineyards. The vineyards are both cool climate sites and are located in O'connell (decomposed granite soil at 850 meters) as well as on Mount Panorama, in the middle of the iconic racing circuit at (decomposed granite & volcanic soil at 800 meters). The focus is making high quality wines that express a sense of the beautiful Bathurst region as well as keeping things local, authentic and uncomplicated. The ethos is simple, to make top quality wine, you need good grapes and good grapes are made in the vineyard.
