From day one, we’ve known that we only have so many vintages on the planet, and we want to make each one exceptional. So, while a lot of people say great winemaking begins in the vineyard, for us it begins far earlier, high in the Southern Alps. It takes months for the pure water from these snowcapped mountains to filter through braided rivers and underground aquifers before making its way to us. But when it does, it emerges crystal clear at the Rapaura Springs that run through our home vineyard. Our label depicts the rocky aquifer and the pristine springs that connect it to our land. This water is a life force that feeds our vines, while the mountain-fed rivers that shape our land influence the soils we grow our wines in. Pure in flavour and their expression, our wines reflect our remarkable region. The purity of our springs is a daily reminder to protect our water and land, so we can continue to make every vintage count.
