Description:

John Gehrig is a fourth generation winemaker who comes from Victoria's oldest winemaking family, settling in the late 1850's at Barnawartha in North East Victoria. In August 2011 we bought another vineyard in Rutherglen – Gooramadda to be precise (around the corner from Morris’s). We’ve been busy there rehashing vineyard blocks and renovating the old 1870 build “Snarts winery” as a cellardoor- we’ve now open for tastings there Friday, Saturday & Sundays. The vineyard covers 80ha and has Durif, Cab, Shiraz and Muscat planted; majority of this fruit is sold to other local wineries, but we do process some ourselves
