In August 2011 we bought another vineyard in Rutherglen – Gooramadda to be precise (around the corner from Morris’s). We’ve been busy there rehashing vineyard blocks and renovating the old 1870 build “Snarts winery” as a cellardoor- we’ve now open for tastings there Friday, Saturday & Sundays. The vineyard covers 80ha and has Durif, Cab, Shiraz and Muscat planted; majority of this fruit is sold to other local wineries, but we do process some ourselves
Sally’s Paddock at the Redbank Winery was established by Neill and Sally Robb in the Pyrenees region of Central Victoria in 1973, and celebrates its 40th birthday in 2013. Its is distinctly Australian and is named after the small town of Redbank situated three kilometers to the north, located 2 hours north-west of Melbourne in the heart of the Pyrenees range. From the first plantings to the latest vintage, the Redbank Winery has established a reputation for producing wines of excellent quality, consistency and value—lovely reds for red lovers.
Symphonia Wines is located in the King Valley wine region of Victoria. The vineyard is at Myrrhee, in a picturesque tributary valley of the main King River system. Originally planted in the 1990's by visionary winemaker Peter Read who realised that the climate and soils were ideal for growing then un-heralded varieties from cool regions of the world. He planted Pinot Grigio (Northern Italy), Saperavi (Georgia), Tannat and Petit Manseng (Pyrenees region of France), Temperanillo (Northern Spain), and Albarino (now known as Savagnin from North Western Spain) along with small areas of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. In 2005, Peter Read sold the vineyard to the present owners, Peter and Suzanne Evans who continue championing these unusual varieties.
