Our unique 80-acre estate is located just 35 mins drive from the CBD in the heart of Auckland's wine country. In addition to our winery and bottling facility, the Hunting Lodge boasts a Cellar Door, Café, Restaurant, roaming gardens that supply all our dishes, and purpose-built event spaces. While the history of The Hunting Lodge dates to 1868, the current owners’ story goes back to the 1970’s. Good friends of the owners at that time, they frequently helped around the property and watched their children grow up amongst the vines. After purchasing the site in 2016, they have lovingly restored it and are proud to be able to share this beautiful destination with visitors and let the stories continue. We offer a range of wines that showcase the best regions in the country, but also capture the pioneering spirit of New Zealand wine — the search for something new and interesting. Our wine range evolves with the seasons, allowing visitors to discover something different each time they come to visit.
