Description:

At Cable Bay Vineyards, our vision is to hand-craft wines from the highest quality fruit grown in small lot, premium sites. Our Waiheke Island vineyards were planted in 1998, on steep hillside slopes overlooking the Hauraki Gulf. Our Awatere Valley vineyards are high density plantings established in 1996 - the oldest Sauvignon Blanc vines in the Awatere - located on the stony banks of the Awatere River. Today we grow 9 varietals across the two regions, including Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Syrah. We manage our land using sustainable winegrowing practices and additionally, we are currently in conversion to organics in both regions. We are passionate about creating elegant, expressive wines, bursting with a sense of place.
