Description:

Fi & Col Sheppard established Flaxman Wines in 2004 when they purchased the vineyard in picturesque Eden Valley, Barossa, made the vine-change and moved across from Melbourne. The vineyard includes 3 acres of Riesling, 2.5 acres of Shiraz and 1/2 acre of Semillon, all planted in 1929. Small parcels of Grenache, Mataro, Chardonnay and Cabernet are also purchased to broaden the line-up of wines on offer. The grapes are hand-picked each year and all wines (except the Riesling) are made onsite. A boutique Eden Valley producer, Flaxman features a cellar door open to the public on Thursday 11-4, Friday 11-5, Saturday 11-5 and Sunday 11-4pm and they have a select number of wines available for tasting each day. Cheese platters with both local and international cheeses are available on weekends and our award winning Long Leisurely Lunches are held on the first Saturday of each month.
