Built in 1864 in the UK, by shipping company, Devitt & Moore, the City of Adelaide undertook 23 return voyages between London and Adelaide. The City of Adelaide ship played a pivotal part of Australian immigration, with over 250,000 Australians being able to trace their ancestry to the voyages undertaken.
